What Causes Chronic Diarrhea While On Cefadroxil?
I am taking cefadroxil 500mg x2 twice daily. I was hospitalized for an absess in my nose. during my hospitalization I had other patients in the room use the portable toilets. i am now having very liquid diahrea which I think can be a side effect of the antibiotics. I font have pain or cramping but my stomach is making a lot of noise. my concern is c.difficile. should I get tested or is the watery diahrea normal for these meds. thank you

Antibiotics are used to kill the pathogens, but it also kill the normal flora of the gut so that it could be due to C. difficile infection.
You should be tested for C. difficile infection. For treatment, stop antibiotics and use Metronidazole.
