What Causes Chronic Cough While On Lisinopril?
I take lisinopril for high blood pressure. I have been coughing for the past four months and I have had a chest xray which showed that my lungs are clear. I am coughing up phlem , but it is clear it is also very thick and it chokes me and makes me gag. Could the lisinopril be causing the cough?

There is a lozenge that is for dry mouth and I have had limited success using them but other than that the only thing you can do is to have your doctor prescribing a different medication. Small consolation the cough will lessen over time in most cases. If not, then you can use inhalers or oral steroid medication.
