What Causes Chronic Cough After Exposure To Fumes From An Oil Burner?
I have an irrating cough now for a number of weeks & my doctor has started me on a course of steroids I just realised that I may have been exposed to fumes from an oil burning stove! Could this be the cause of the cough also my doctor gave me a script for an antibotic should I start it? I did not mention to the doctor that I was staying in a persons home where this stove is! I m now thinking that that this may be the cause of my cough!
Thanks for writing to HealthCareMagic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.
Fumes exposure for a single time wont usually cause such a long standing cough i would suggest you to continue with your doctor's treatment and if you have any concerns do contact with your doctor you can also discuss getting an xray done.
I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.
Regards.
