Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are experiencing chocking sensation in throat which could be due to granular pharyngitis. I t could be due to formation of lump, gastroesophageal relfux disease and contraction of muscle sphincters. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day. You should avoid heavy and spicy food specially at night and eat small and frequent meals. You should do betadine gargles as well. Consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order test like blood test , throat swab test , endoscopy and CT scan. From diagnostic studies exact diagnosis can be made out. Need not to panic about it. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course, anti inflammatory medications or refer you to gastroenterologist .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
