What Causes Choking Sensation In Throat And Breathlessness?
My husband has had difficulty with his throat for over a month. He says it feels as if someone is choking him, difficulty breathing at times, hurts, not sore; clears his throat a lot with intensity. We are scheduled to see an ENT in the morning, but I would like to know what to expect.

As throat is chocking , difficult breathing , hurts .
All these symptoms may be due to these possibilities , these include:
1 Post nasal discharge , due to throat infection and allergy . In such cases patient feel that something is stuck in throat and very difficult to clear throat.
2 Allergic ( asthmatic ) bronchitis , in this patient feels bronchoconstriction and breathlessness .
3 Septic pharyngitis . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by an ENT specialist .
However , history is not so clear , so only physical examination will yield some result by ENT .
