What Causes Chills When Diagnosed With IBS?

I have been diagnosed with IBS. In addition, recently I had a gastrointestinal virus and was sick for about 7 to 8 days. I recovered finally from the virus. I still have IBS occasionally and, in addition, I have chills but no fever that last during my IBS flare ups. Is this normal?

dear friend
many of the IBS patients do have many symptoms not related to the GI tract
these extra GI symptoms are distressing and usually brushed away by most of associated care givers.

cause for most of these symptoms are not detectable.
you must realize there is a considerable bit of psychological overlay in the IBS disease process it self

you may try a mild antidepressant and anxiolytic in consultation with your treating physician and in all probability it will help
I find this answer helpful
