What Causes Chills And Sweating After A Rib Injury?

I fell two days ago. other than black eye and very sore bruised ribs I felt fine. Friday night I started having strong chills and once or twice I started sweating. my wife said I had a low grade fever the chills went away but saturdayi had another bout with chills

Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
- Trauma to ribs causes a stress to body.. this results in chills with low grade fever & sweating. Rest/ NSAID over the counter should relieve. In case it does not reduce after 3-5 days There is need to consult your doctor.
A through physical examination by an orthopedic doctor,X ray chest would be done to find the extent of trauma followed by needful specific treatment.
