This could be coronary artery disease (CAD), which is blockage in the arteries going to the heart, and which could result in angina or heart attack. High cholesterol is a risk factor for CAD, so the combination of chest pain in a person with high cholesterol points first at the possibility of CAD. You don't say exactly what the abnormality on your EKG was, but any abnormalities need to be investigated especially when associated with high cholesterol and chest pain. The next step is to do a stress scan of your heart to see if there is evidence for a coronary artery being blocked. Your pulse was a little high but that could have been due to anxiety and pain. You don't mention any irregular heartbeats which would be seen on EKG and could be associated with CAD or other heart disease, so that is good. Be sure to get the tests done to be sure what this could be. Hope this answers your question.
