So I need to know if I have something worse than the common cold. My symptoms include nasal and chest congestion, a deep cough, slight chills, and aching in my back and chest. The reason I question what I have is that I also have a splotchy red area on my chest, concentrated by my throat and upper sternum area, but there are one or two other red spots on my chest as well. It could be something as small as skin irritation because I take hot showers, but it has been there for about 3 days.
