What Causes Chest And Back Pain During Pregnancy?

Hi, I m 30 weeks pregnant and since last night I have been experiencing chest pain (a cramping feeling) on the left side where my breast bone is, especially when I breathe in. I m also having pain in the upper left side of my back. Is this most likely serious or common?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The pain may be cardiac if you have hypertension, and so it is to be examined. If you have cough, it may be related to the chest and lungs.
Lastly, most probably it may be due to the gastric irritation. may be due to the peptic ulcer, or irritant foods.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms omeprazole, domperidone, and antacid gel.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
