What Causes Calf Pain While Sitting After Quitting Smoking?
I quit smoking a year ago and have replaced it with eating have gained about 25 lbs and that stopped about a month ago so leveled off - my calves hurt something feirce and when I set in my recliner it hurts my calves and when I stand up my feet are so sore for about the first 10 steps - when I am walking I am good

You should rule out peripheral vascular disease of the calf and deep vein thrombosis.
For that further workup can be done in form of colour Doppler ultrasonography.
