Hi, I am a young female that has had chronic inflammatory issues all my life. I have often been treated with steroids, for different flare ups. My MRI has no lesions, so they ruled out MS. My ANA was negative, so they ruled out Lupus. I currently have severe, and debilating, bilateral calf pain. I have had duplex ultrasounds to rule out DVT and Artery disease. A nerve conduction study was also normal, and Lumbar Spine MRI showed no evidence of a compression. No doctor has any idea where to go from here, and some have suggested Fibromylagia, which DOES NOT FIT my symptoms. My calf pain resides when I am at rest, and begins immediately upon walking, standing, increasing the more I use them. They are also very weak, and often shake while trying to do simple things in Physical therapy. I can no longer grocery shop, or take my kids to a park, and have no idea why. I am DESPERATE for answers. Since I have always had inflammatory issues, I am wondering if I could have some kind of inflammation in my calf muscle specifically that is causing the pain upon walking. It is persistent, its every time I use them, and has been 14 weeks, progressing and worsening with time. I used to be able to walk a distance before they would throb, but now it begins immediately. Please help, I don t know where else to go from here.
