What Causes Calf And Knee Pain With Swelling?
My aunt is complaint of left calf pain and swelling around lt knee calf x 1 week. It is so painful she had to crawl for a few days. She went to ER and they did a Doppler study and ruled out a clot. Her dr is sending her for physical therapy, so insurance will cover her for an MRI. What do you think?

After going through the description ,it could be a case of pinched nerve that is nerve compression at lower spine. This needs clinical examination along with MRI lower spine.
Meanwhile she may have prescription only drug like pregablin along with ibuprofen.
Does she has numbness and tingling sensation in leg and foot?
