What Causes Burning Sensatoion In The Nerves On The Spine?

I have been getting spinal blocks for almost 2 years now and it helps for awhile but my pain Dr. is now wanting to burn the nerves in my spine. I am scared to death to do this because all I have herd is really bad things about the burning of the nerves. Please tell me if it is a good idea to do this or not. My Dr. said that the pain will get worse after this is done and I m at the point now where it hurts so bad when I walk that I cry. Please tell me something good about the burning of the spinal nerves.
