What Causes Burning Sensation While Urinating?

Hello.

Ive been experiencing a burning sensation when I urinate for about two weeks now. It was confirmed that I had a urinary tract infection. I was put on Macrobid one pill twice daily for a week. After the dosage was over I was still in pain. I went back and the urinary tract infection was no longer there but Im still having a burning feeling. It feels hot and painful when Im about to urinate and lasts for about 1-3 hours. What could this be? Also, on my tests my urine concentration was very high. Is that enough to cause severe pain? Will drinking more water alleviate the pain?
