General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to HCM.
Your symptoms are definitively indicative of urinary tract infection. Your doctor also has prescribed rightly.
May be things are not working as the organisms might be resistant to antibiotic prescribed.
You need to get urine culture and sensitivity done to see which antibiotic the organisms are sensitive.
Then your doctor can change it accordingly.
Drink plenty of water and you can take citrus fruit juices.
Wish you good health.
