What Causes Burning Sensation In The Throat?

Hello, I have been experiencing problems with my ears, and throat for the past year and a bit. First started off with my throat being painful, I was given meds for tonsillitis. I ve always had problems with my tonsils. Then my ears started to ring, I had liquid behind my ear drum. I ve been fatigued as well. I went to an ENT who just looked at my ears, gave me a hearing test and said my hearing was fine, and that tinnitius comes and goes. A month or so ago, I had little peanut looking things come up in my mouth which my doctor thought was tonsil stones. I was given Flagyl. Now, I am suffering from heart burn, or a burning sensation in my throat and I was given pills for heart burn. Pills are not working. I have a burning in my throat. I feel like this is all related. I have not had an xray or anything like that, and I am referred to another ENT but it s an 8 month wait. The back of my throat feels raw almost. I constantly feel like there s a lump in my throat.

hello, thanks for your query, with your history suggests that, you are having chronic tonsillitis causing fluid in ear with acidity causing heart burn. if tonsillitis causing complications like fluid behind intact drum, tonsillectomy is the choice. coming to your heart burn stop smoking, alcohol, spicy diet, take proton pump inhibitors for 4-6 weeks. for all this you need to see an ent surgeon. hope I have answered your query. all the best. take care.
