What Causes Burning Sensation In The Stomach Following Chemotherapy?

my father is getting a strong burning sensation following his first round of chemotherapy, he is currently in hospital and they cannot figure out what is wrong with him - what could this be due to? could it just be co-incidental? his lower left abdomen is swollen but the CT shows nothing suspicious in the stomach

Hello dear . Usually ranitidine is used togather with chemotherapy as it is known the negative effects of chemotherapy in stomach. Best regards.
