What Causes Burning Sensation In The Lungs?

I am a smoker, smoke arround 4-5 sigarets a day, not a hard smoker

The last few days i get a burn sensation in my lungs when smoking

My history, smoking arrouns 6 year now, my mother has lung issues as well, can this be serious, as i think it is ???

I can understand your concern.
Yes, this can cause serious lung disease like COPD (chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease) or lung cancer.
Burning sensation is lungs is suggestive of inflammation.
And cigarette smoke is the most common factor for this. If you continue smoking, this will definitely injure your lungs and can cause COPD or lung cancer in future.
So better to quit smoking as soon as possible because this not good habit.
Also consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to detect any decrement in lung functions.
So quit smoking immediately, this will help you a lot.
