General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Narendra,

Since the heart and lungs have all been checked out, has anyone suggested acid reflux? It can also cause burning chest pain like that which you described. Are there any other symptoms like bloating, burping, or acid taste in the throat?

Things to do to improve it are like stopping smoking, decreasing alcohol, cutting down spicy and acidic foods, and eating smaller meals. Medication that you can try are anti-acids like ranitidine or omeprazole. Anti-vomiting medication like metoclopramide also helps to empty the stomach faster, so that the acid has less of a chance to flow back up to the chest.

Hope this helps you, please let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,
Dr. Teh
