What Causes Burning Sensation In Stomach, Nausea And Abdominal Bloating?

My 22 year old daughter has for a long time (years) had burning in her stomach, burping, bloating, and nausea. No diorreah, constipation, or any problems that end. My father had acid reflux and died of oesophagul cancer, and my bother in his teens had an ulcer and struggled with those symptoms. Does it sound like my daughter has peptic ulcer, gastritus, or indigestion? What tests should she have done? What should she do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have burning sensation in stomach, nausea and abdominal bloating which seems to be either infection or inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. I would suggest you to proton pump inhibitors and antacids such as Pantprazole along with domperidone. You should take antispasmodics as well. Avoid intake of large foods and try to prefer small and frequent meals. You should take oral rehydration solution for maintaining the hydration and electrolyte balance of the body. You should consult gastroenterologist once and get complete blood investigations done. Start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take plain and soft food and avoid hot, sharp and spicy food substances.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
