What Causes Burning Sensation In Nose After A Surgery?

I had outpatient surgery today. When they put the oxygen tube in my nose, the right nostril was fine, but it felt as though the tube was a little further up against the left nostril, touching the side of nostril, and I felt a cold, burning sensation throughout the 20-25 minute procedure. Since the procedure, this spot inside my nose is causing me to constantly sneeze, and nose is running. I m still feeling irritation, or perhaps tickling in this spot that makes me sneeze. Can I do anything to perhaps heal this irritation or stop this sneezing and running of my nose? I was of good health before the procedure

General & Family Physician 's  Response
The procedure could have caused some injury to the nasal passage making it more susceptible to things such as moisture and cold air.
You can use flonase nasal spray. This will assist with the running nose and constant sneezing. it should be used twice daily and continue for 3 months so that treatment can be effective in the long term.
