What Causes Burning Sensation In Legs And Arms While On Lexapro?
About three weeks ago I started lexapro and after only 4 doses i had a burning sensation on my arms, legs and neck and it hasn t went away, I stopped the lexapro and have been trying others like Paxil and I m still having the burning so I was wondering if the gabapentin would be something helpful for me
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have burning sensation in legs and arms while on Lexapro which could be due to viral infection, petechie, blockage of sebaceous glands as legs has large number of sebaceous glands. It could be due to allergic reaction leading to dermatitis and hair follicle infection by bacteria. You should rinse the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice a day. Apply topical antibiotic cream such as neosporin 2% on it. You should take a course of antibiotic Tablet. Take a course of Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid twice a day for 5 days. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. The symptoms you mention can also occur as side effects of certain drugs like Lexapro, consult you psychologist and discuss the condition . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute .
