What Causes Burning Sensation Below The Breast Bone Along With Duodenal Ulcer Symptoms?
I am a healthy 64yr.old female.I have a burning sensation below my breast bone with other duodenal ulcer symptoms.My pain is relieved with food and gaviscon.OTCZantac works sometimes.I am gaining wt. b/c I am eating all the time.I can t afford a PPI.Can I take something less expensive and perhaps manage symtoms with Diet?

You could try cimetidine, but I am not sure it is cheaper. You should however have a gastroscopy to see If you indeed have an ulcer. If not, you can save money on PPI.
