What Causes Burning Sensation And Soreness On The Throat?

I can point to the spot on the right side on my throat it like a soar spot and whenever I excellerate my heart rate by getting up and moving around it pulses at this spot in my throat and just a deep burning feeling. Advil helps a lot but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to speed up the recovery? If I had to guess myself why it happened cause although I am active all the time I rarely run and workout and have started doing some of that. Could it be that breathing thru my mouth while excercising I strained it or something?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of burning sensation and soreness on the throat which are pointing towards a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux disease which leads to release of oesophageal sphincter and it could be due to infection of respiratory tract.

Need not to worry. You should take meal in small and frequent intervals. Avoid large intake of meals at a time. For now avoid carbonated drinks , spicy food , alcohol and acidic foods. Keep bed little higher on head side. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order blood test, saliva measurement test and allergy test to confirm the diagnosis. Take combination of antibiotic along with anti-inflammatory drugs. You should exercise on daily basis.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
