What Causes Burning Sensation And Pain At The Back Of The Throat?
I began with a burning in back of throat about one week ago but not painful but now I m have tongue roof of mouth all burning and I m sure I ate hot spices that triggered this. I was wondering if you have a suspicion as to which hot spice may be most likely to cause this? Very painful and have been trying ice chips and bread. Any suggestions greatly appreciated also using benadryl
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of burning sensation and pain at the back of the throat after eating spices which is mainly due to infection and inflammation of papillae of tongue along with acid reflux symptoms.
Need not to worry. I would advise you to visit ENT specialist and get complete examination done and take a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines.
Avoid spicy food. Red chillies are the main causative agents along with capsicum and clove. Do warm saline gargles. Drink plenty of fluids to maintain hydration. Suck on ice pops. Apply numbing pain gel.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
