What Causes Burning Pain In The Area Of Needle Insertion For Blood Donation?

I just donated blood and have given blood for over 20 years but this time it burned the minute she put the needle in my arm and it still burns to the right of the injection site. What might be the problem? She offered to take the needle out but I told her as long as the blood was flowing I would suck it up and take the pain. Have you ever heard of such an odd thing?

Hi,
Thanks for wuery.I understand your concern.
-When an injection syringe needle is pricked.sometimes it's tip injures fine nervrve endings in skin..which may cause burning. This should disappear over a period of 10-21 daystill the nerve injury hesls by itself.
Thanks
