What Causes Burning And Itching Sensation During Urination?
Just a few minutes ago i went to go shower and before i showered i peed, while wiping i felt a burning sensation, and it started to itch so i just itched it a little then hopped in the shower as I am washing down there with the wash cloth i felt something so i touched it with my hand and i felt a bumb, when i got out of the shower i was a little afraid but i looked at it and its a little red bump. What is it and why is it there, and can i get rid of it?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Burning sensation during urination and itching sensation is suggestive of urinary tract infection (UTI). I suggest you to get an urine examination to look for evidence of infection. In case infection is present, an urine culture is required followed by antibiotic to select most appropriate antibiotic effective against infectious agent. A bump felt in the genital area needs to investigated. It would be more informative if you could give information about the exact location of the lump and any other associated symptoms like pain etc. However, urine examination should be done promptly to look for UTI and thus institute treatment for it.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
