What Causes Bump In Pubic Area?

Hello I shaved my genital region today and I noticed a red elevated bump on the skin, between my legs and Outer labia... I thought maybe it was a pimple so I tried popping it and now it s turning black... I never had this before and I have only slept with one person. It appeared out of nowhere and I didn t notice it til I shaved. I am a female. What is this?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Folliculitis is a bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Please meet a dermatologist and request to do culture and sensitivity test on pus obtained from the lesion for exact diagnosis.
Once the exact bacteria is known, specific treatment can be given.
Improper use of antibiotic can lead to resistance.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
