What Causes Bulging Veins On Chest And Breasts Radiating Towards Neck?

My daughter noticed her veins are more pronounced. Especially in her chest and breasts and going up her neck. I just read some of the answers below and dehydration and low blood sugar, anemia are mentioned. Are there any other things it could be? She said one of her areolas are more pronounced than the other.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I warmly Welcome you!

I can well understand your concerns about your daughter's health issues.

If she is in her teenage she may be having these prominent veins as a normal hormonal rise at this age, and the normal growth spurt that includes the development of breast tissues that causes prominent veins and areolar prominence under the influence of hormones.

Or the prominent veins can be seen in some diseases like Portal Hypertension.

I suggest you to take her to an OBGYN for consulting about the issue.

Hope it helps. Feel free to contact me anytime for further assistance.

Regards!
