What Causes Bulging Veins In Foot?

Should I be alarmed...lately the veins in my right foot get full all of a sudden. Big and bulging. Makes ankle/foot hurt and hard to walk for a little while. Then it goes away. The veins look and feel so full like they are going to burst thru the skin

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, you could be having Varicose veins. You should see your Doctor who can advice a Color Doppler test of your limb veins which can clearly tell whether that is the condition or not. If yes, then you will have to undergo some form of treatment for the same. It could be Injection Sclerotherapy, Surgery or laser treatment. But, first things first, you should get the diagnosis confirmed before jumping to treatment strategies. So see the Doctor and let him advice. Take care,
