What Causes Bruising And Pain On The Hip Bone?

I recently was in Antigua (returned home 1/31) and once I got home I had this pain on my left side, almost right on my hip bone, I don t remember hitting it, it is not red or bruised, but hurts. I first thought shingles but there is no rash. Any ideas?

Thank you for posting your query in HCM
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your question

See from your description it looks like a muscle sprain if there is no history of trauma. If it was shingles, you would have rash and sharp burning pain.
Anyways do the following-
No heavy work for 5-7 days
Apply hot compress
Take aceclofenac-thiocolchicoside combination twice daily after food for 5 days
Take tab pantoprazole twice daily for 5 days

Hope this was helpful.
Regards
