What Causes Bruises On The Legs When Diagnosed With Fybromyalgia?
Hi Doc: My wife over the last 6 months has developed lots of bruises on her legs. She has, Fybromyalgia, Lower Back Pain, and a bad knee. In addition she weighs 250 at 5 2 . Uses a walker and cane, and wheelchair. How concerned should I be? no swelling is noticable. Randy
Hi. As per your case history you are having vasculitis rash. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching and NSAID like ibuprofen for pain. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, colchicine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
