Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

All I want to do in such a situation is a peripheral blood smear and ESR to rule out thrombocytopenia and abnormal white cells. If these are normal, no need to worry. But I would have given a course of vitamin C for 2 weeks, as it’s deficiency can cause weakness of capillary walls and easy bruising. Kindly discuss with your doctor. Also, try to include lot of green leafy vegetables and fruits in diet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
