My 69 year old sister-in-law s arms are almost totally covered with brownish discoloration under the skin. They are not tender like a bruise, but look like blood under her skin. She is a white, red-head. Doctor was asked about this when there was only a little discoloration. I was shocked when I saw her. Her blood tests showed enlarged red blood platelets ( don t know what that means)What could cause this?
