What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge With Itching While On Xulane Patch?
Hi DR. Mia Lundi, I am currently on the xulane birth control patch and my period ended about 5-7 days ago but I am continuing to have very dark brown discharge as well as what looks like flaky brown discharge after I urinate and my vagina has been itchy this whole time and hurt when I had intercourse about 4 days ago. I also have small paper like cuts near the back of my vaginal opening.

The symptoms seem to be related to a vaginal infection. I suggest to do a vaginal swab test for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest to maintain a good hygiene and use cotton underwear.
