What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge While On Depo Shot?

So I went to the doctor July 23 of last year cause I was bleeding light and had some cramps with it also, they check me and said I just had bacteria infection, so they give me sometime to take for it , a months went by and I went for a check up and they check again and they give me a depo shot this was in October since then I been have brown discharge and a little bleeding, what could this be

Understand your concern
It may be side effects of depo shot or vaginal infection most common yeast infection

Please note that depot shot contain synthetic progesterone and following are the common side effects depot shot:
vaginal discharge,
gastrointestinal disturbances
nausea, vomiting, changes in or loss of libido,
abdominal discomfort,
headaches, nervousness,
depression and mental changes,
lactation,
dysmenorrhoea,
breakthrough bleeding

Yeast infection most common due to candidiasis.
Take the following advice for it
1. Single dose oral Diflucam, if not respond you can take three dose
2. Apply Ointment trazol
3. Probiotic tablet orally/vaginally
4. Take yougort and balanced healthy diet
5. Boric acid suppository
6. Maintain hygiene
7. Wash your vagina with warm salt water 4-5 times in a day
8. Wear loose pure cotton inner wear
9. Keep the vagina clean (Not wet)


If not resolves, you should consult the doctor and do the following tests:
Hormonal profile: E2, Progestreone, FSH, LH, Prolactin, HCG, Thyroid hormone profile.
USG abdomen
Endometrium biopsy
Ovarian follicle study
