Hi.

I have gone through your query.

A brown color discharge from the vagina can be seen with uterine infections or with fibroids. These occur because both of these increase uterine contractions. Once the contractions are increased, there will be bleeding.

Since the blood is either necrotic or infected. It would be brown in color.

Getting to the cause can involve a biopsy and looking at the brown discharge under the microscope or doing an abdominal ultrasound. Surgery or antibiotics may be needed to treat based on the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
