What Causes Brown Spots On Legs?

Hi, I have been diagnosed with lupus/gammopathy, my protein goes up and down every month. I have Emphysema. depression, PTSD, anxiety, Suicide attempt. I have also been diagnosed with Celiac Sprue and Diverticulitis. I gained 50lbs in 2 years. I have anxiety about going out. So, I have been lying down most of these years. My cholesterol is 326 I am so tired all the time.I didn t have children, I missed alot of parties, just being exhausted since High School, I skipped classes to go to a friends house to sleep. Now, after all that, I have my question. This year little brown spots started on my legs, they grow bigger and smaller, darker and lighter overnight. Some are raised, some aren t. What could they be?

Hello,

As per your case history, you are suffering from Purpuric dermatosis.

My treatment advice is:
1. Avoid standing for long periods of time and keep pillows below legs while sleeping.
2. Apply a calcium dobisilate cream like Osil cream twice a day on affected region.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.
4. Other treatment options are oral multivitamins, oral calcium dobisilate drug taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
