What Causes Brown, Smelly Vaginal Discharge After Coming Off Depo Provera?
Hi. I ve been on the depo Provera shot off and on for 15 years. every time I come off it i get a brown discharge accompanied by a foul odor. it happens every time and drives me back to the depo. I missed my shot on purpose last week and I m sure the discharge and odor will return. what is it ? will it ever go away ?

Depo provera withdrawal may cause bleeding but it is not common to cause foul odor. I would recommend you to have a visit with your doctor and have a gynecological exam to rule out infections that may cause such symptoms.
