What Causes Brittleness Of Lungs & Arteries?
In 2005 I was hospitalized for Pneumonia in which it was discovered that the top 1/4 of both my lungs and surrounding arties are burnt. The Doctor that treated me never said how, why. Years earlier I operated 4 laser marking equipment was told the equipment met OSHA requirements and no protection was needed I don t know if that is the reason that my lungs and arties are brittle. Now I m required to be on oxygen 24 hours a day.I want to know if the laser equipment might have caused the bad lungs?Thank youHelen McDaniel

No laser will cause these burnt out lungs. Burnt out lungs is a very vague and loose term used by some doctors, which means that the upper part of your lung is destroyed or not uselful.
There may innumerable reasons for that destruction for instance, the commonnones are
Tuberculosis
Interstitial lung disease
COPD and bullous lung disease
