Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Breathlessness In A Patient Having Blood Pressure?
my husband is 69 years old. He does take blood pressure medication and is seen by a cardiologist to monitor heart disease. He has been short of breath and acting like something is wrong but says he is ok. A few minutes ago he vomited and does now admit to an upset stomach. He does not have a fever and is cool to the touch. His blood pressure was 137/85 by the wrist blood pressure cuff we have. I am concerned because he says he just needs to go to sleep. He never does this. What should I be looking out for? He has refused to go to the ER or Urgent Care Clinic.
take ecg and consult cardiologist. it may be congestive cardiac failure blood pressure reported appears to be normal .6 hourly recording may be done and informed. ECG recording in holster method may be done and report be sent and can be analysed by cardiologist. he should take proper sleep for at least 6 hours a day
