General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Levolin is a drug used for asthma and is generally effective. Cough does not seem to be a possible side effect with the drug. Asthma itself can cause cough and also there are other causes of cough from allergies to important lung diseases.
It is important that she sees the doctor and have her heart and lungs auscultated and also possibly having a chest x ray. If all these come out normal then allergy can be considered as the cause of the cough and some Loratadine can be given to her at night to treat it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
