What Causes Breathing Diffiulty While Lying Down?

When I lie down and lay for a few minutes and then I breath deeply, I feel this extremely weird sensation like air is moving to fast into my lungs or like it is having to against some sort of force. It often feels like fluid, but no result from the dr. One said nothing was wron and anot her said that I need to have a sleep study. Also, when I get out of bed and I take a breath, it takes me about three breaths to make that weird fluid like sensation to clear up. What is going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to congestion.

Due to congestion, you are difficulty in breathing. Do you have a fever, cough, cold?

In that case, take tab. paracetamol. Take steam inhalation. Use cough syrup containing bromhexine or guanfacine.

If still not feeling well, do chest x-ray after physician consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
