Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 8 year old son started breathing heavily about 3 weeks ago. It only occurs during the day and he is fine at night while sleeping. He looks like he is having difficulty taking a deep breath. When i tell him to relax and breath through his nose, he says its hard to breath through his nose. Several pediatricians saw him , he had chest xrays and blood tests done, and they conclude that there is nothing physically wrong with him.
As per your query your son have symptoms of difficulty in breathing which seems to be due to nasal obstruction and it could be due to asthmatic reasons either cardiac or bronchial.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit pulmonologist/ pediatrician once and get complete examination done. It could be due to allergic reaction from particular allergen so you should visit allergy specialist as well once and get thorough examination done. Start treatment after proper diagnosis and follow all the instructions given to you.
Avoid giving child sharp and spicy food which exaggerates symptoms.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
