Hello,

I can understand your concern. If depression runs in your family, you have more chances of developing anxiety/depression than other people who do have depression running in their families.

All the symptoms you are describing like overeating, breathlessness, teeth grinding, high irritability, loss of interest in daily activities indicate that you do have some anxiety issues.

I would advise you to go to a mental health professional or psychiatrist for counselling sessions. If he/she will feel the need, you will also be prescribed anxiolytics or antidepressants.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
