What Causes Breast Pain And Fatigue While On Glycomet During Pregnancy?

My wife pregant now she crossing the 8th month,Last week check the blood sugarlevel its shows 171. so doctor give a medicine GLYCOMET SR 500MG for a week, But due to the first day she feel his breast pain and triedness.its make a any sideaffect for baby.

Hello,

Usually, we do recommend Glycomet-SR to treat gestational diabetes in cases when it's not controlled with diet and lifestyle changes. No side effect to the babies so far. At the same time, birth complications due to diabetes are being prevented.

Please do follow her doctor's advice. If these side effects remain, report them to her caring doctor. Metformin can cause some stomach issues, that might be the cause of the pain she is feeling. Do not take on empty stomach, but after eating or with meal.
