What Causes Bowel Incontinence Every Few Hours After The First Bowel Movement?

I have a problem that I have had for a number of years in that after I take a BM, I have to continually wipe and clean myself for the most part, all day. In some cases, when I wipe myself the first time, it will be clean after two wipes but then it comes back?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are many causes for bowel incontinence like

1.Nerve injury
2.Muscle damage
3.Hemorrhoids etc.

I suggest you to take stool examination, endoscopy(colonoscopy) to confirm the diagnosis. For temporary relief i advise you to take T.Loperamine OD( once daily after food) and avoid drinking coffee. Drink plenty of water.
