What Causes Body Tremors And Numbness In The Left Eg?

I was shopping and all of a sudden my left leg went limp, non mobile. The shopping cart held me up as I dragged my limp leg and myself to a chair. What would cause this? I am 82 years old and experience various body shakes at times and total body weakness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi i do care for your concern.
Nerve compression due to prolonged standing may cause this type of symptoms.
Considering your age it is advisable to consult your physician and get examined for spinal compression.
Usually at old ages the disc compression occurs, dur to decreased bone mineral density.
Physiotherapy along with multivitamins will add to help.
Hope i have answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask.
Thank you.
I find this answer helpful
