What Causes Blurred Vision While Treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea?

I have been treated for obstructive sleep apnea for the past year. The C-PAP seems to be working out well. However, I have been having episodes of blurred, or even double vision, frequently. While accompanying an elderly (84) woman to the eye doctor for Shingles near her eye, the doctor asked her if she also had sleep apnea. Is there a connection between sleep apnea and vision problems?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't think there is a connection between sleep apnea and eye problems.

I think the doctor may have seen something in her mouth or pharynx that may have caused the sleep apnea.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
